Kaplan Lecture note series for step 2 ck

the series include 6 books :
1-internal medicine
as in all kaplan books the text is breif ,neat and up to the point.most chapters are fair enough for the test , however rheumatology section in particular needs to be supplemented,also read COPD from another source cuz they are not covered well
the big con about kaplan is they do not mention pathogenesis of the disease so if u r taking step 2 b4 step 1 make sure u read this part from another source
2-pediatirics
great ....just great , not only for step 2 but also for the college clerkship
some chapters are quiet uncessary though (the one about teeth) alsp read development from blueprint -the onein kaplan is overdetailed
3-OBG
the outline is great but the text is difficient
kaplan alone wont take u anywhere in OBG for thetest
supplement w BRS or blueprints
4-surgery
fair enough
read the trauma section (first 12 pages ) at least twice
5-psychiatry ,ethics and biostats
the psychiatry part isnt good at all
other are just wut u need
supplement psychiatry w HY and UCV
6-the Q book
a ggod review
but the qs in this book do not reflect the style of qs in the real exam and are too easy

1-concise text
2-helpful side notes and review qs throughout the chapter
ideally get the DVDS and read while watching them
the wide margins are to write noted from the DVD or theactual lecture
